We engaged Hayley to work alongside our rangatahi and their support workers to help them explore career pathways, recognise their strengths and interests, and understand the practical steps involved in preparing for meaningful employment.
From the outset, Hayley was approachable, engaging, and genuinely invested in each individual’s progress. She took the time to understand their circumstances and aspirations, creating constructive conversations that encouraged confidence, motivation, and clearer thinking about future opportunities.
Hayley provided practical, accessible guidance on career planning, job searching, CV preparation, interview techniques, employer expectations, and workplace readiness. Her ability to build trust with young people enabled open discussions about their goals and the barriers they needed to overcome to enter the workforce.
Hayley also went beyond advisory support by reaching out to local businesses to identify employment and work experience opportunities. She did this entirely free of charge, with no recruitment or placement fee, demonstrating her genuine commitment to creating pathways for young people into meaningful employment.
Through her efforts, Hayley secured a work placement for one of our rangatahi and supported several others through productive career discussions, helping them build confidence, direction, and a clearer understanding of workplace expectations.
As our discussions progressed, we also explored the possibility of establishing an in-house employment support programme to provide ongoing career guidance and employer engagement for our rangatahi. Hayley contributed valuable ideas on how such a programme could be structured, drawing on her recruitment experience and employer network to support a sustainable pathway between our organisation and local businesses.
Hayley’s professionalism, industry knowledge, and genuine commitment to youth employment made a strong and lasting impression. Her willingness to contribute her time, expertise, and employer relationships without expectation of financial return speaks highly of her character and dedication to helping others succeed.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Hayley to any organisation seeking someone who is professional, community-minded, and genuinely committed to creating meaningful career opportunities for rangatahi.
